- Dosages
- The dosage is 1 ml per 10 kg body mass\r\nHeavier animals in the group (e.g. mature bulls) should receive an additional 5 ml for each 50 kg over 650 kg. - Warnings
- Do not use in cows producing milk for human consumption within 21 days prior to calving.\r\nAnimals must not be slaughtered for human consumption within 21 days after the last treatment.\r\nAvoid contact with skin and eyes.\r\nInduce vomiting when swallowed.\r\n In case of poisoning (toxic by inhalation or ingestion) immediately call a doctor and present\r\nthis label.\r\nKeep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals.\r\nAlthough this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions, failure\r\nthereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected, seek veterinary\r\nadvice and notify the registration holder
- Precautions
- Eliminate is not recommended for use in species other than cattle and antelope.\r\n<95> This product is for application to the skin surface only. The active ingredient is supplied\r\ntransdermally to act systemically. Do NOT give orally or parenterally.\r\n<95> Wash hands thoroughly after handling the product.\r\nDo not eat or drink while handling the product\r\nOperators should wear protective clothing when applying the product. Protective clothing should be washed after use.\r\nIf accidental contact occurs, wash the affected area immediately with soap and water. If accidental eye exposure occurs, flush the eye immediately with water and seek medical attention.\r\nDestroy empty containers in a safe manner (e.g. by burying). Empty containers should NOT be\r\nburnt. Do NOT re-use containers for any purpose.\r\nDo NOT contaminate dams, rivers and streams as abamectin may adversely affect fish and certain water-borne organisms. Environmental safety:\r\nStudies indicate that when abamectin comes in contact with the soil, it readily and tightly binds to the soil and becomes inactive over time.
- Product Application Method
- This should be applied with the correct equipment in a narrow band along the midline of the back from the withers to the base of the tail. Do not treat calves under 50 kg. Treat animals according to their live mass.
- Efficacy
- Ticks:\r\nELIMINATE is effective against blue ticks, red ticks, and bont ticks in cattle and antelope, with a minimum efficacy of 90% for up to 4 weeks after treatment.\r\n\r\nFlies:\r\nELIMINATE controls biting and nuisance flies in cattle and antelope for up to 6 weeks after treatment.\r\n\r\nLice:\r\nELIMINATE is effective against biting and sucking lice in cattle and antelope, with a minimum efficacy of 90% for up to 8 weeks after treatment.\r\n\r\nMites:\r\nELIMINATE is effective against mange mites in cattle, with a minimum efficacy of 90% for up to 4 weeks after treatment.\r\n\r\nNote that ELIMINATE may also be effective against other ectoparasite species, but it's best to consult a veterinarian for more information.
