Feed Mixer

Vertical orbital screw feed mixers make use of one or more screws running at an angle to the vertical plane from an orbital arm at the top of the unit to the bottom. This screw turns to mix and move the feed material to the top while the orbital arm circulates the screw around the mixing space of the unit. These mixers cannot cut roughage and thus these must be milled before mixing. The mixers boast an amazing mixing efficiency of 97%. This means that 500g of one product can be mixed homogeneously into 1ton of another. The high-speed aggressive nature of the mixer means that molasses meal clumps are broken down into the mix and up to 20% liquid molasses can be added. In addition, the mixer is so fast that it can be discharged only seconds after the last bag has been added. Although these mixers are normally used to blend high energy rations, High roughage rations can be mixed with blinding speed and exceptional efficiency.
