A Global Showcase of Agricultural Progress
Agritechnica 2025 is set to reaffirm its position as the world’s premier trade fair for agricultural machinery and technology. Running from 9 to 15 November 2025 at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds in Germany, it will once again bring together the international farming community for a week of innovation, knowledge-sharing and business connections.
Held every two years and organised by the German Agricultural Society (DLG), Agritechnica has grown into an unrivalled meeting place for farmers, engineers, manufacturers and policymakers. This edition is expected to draw around 430,000 visitors from more than 140 countries, with over 2,700 exhibitors filling 23 halls and several open-air zones. Covering more than 400,000 square metres, it remains the largest exhibition of its kind anywhere in the world.
From global machinery giants to visionary start-ups, the exhibitors represent every facet of the ag-tech universe. Attendees can discover new technologies for cultivation, harvesting, data management and sustainability—all under one roof. For many companies, Agritechnica serves as a launching pad for flagship products and acts as a barometer for global agricultural trends. It is more than a trade show; it is a pulse-check on where farming is heading.
Touch Smart Efficiency: Defining the 2025 Theme
The guiding theme for Agritechnica 2025 is ‘Touch Smart Efficiency’, a phrase that captures the essence of the industry’s digital transformation. It signals how intelligent systems, data connectivity and automation are reshaping farming into a smarter, more sustainable enterprise.
Visitors will encounter the concept in action through smart farming solutions that link people, machines and data. Expect to see live demonstrations of precision agriculture, AI-driven analytics, robotics and automated decision support tools that enhance productivity while reducing inputs.
According to the organisers, the theme addresses the sector’s greatest challenges—from climate resilience to efficient resource use. It highlights how technology can enable farmers to increase yields while lowering environmental impact.
“Touch Smart Efficiency” is not simply a slogan. The word touch evokes a hands-on approach—interactive, human-centred and practical—showing that digital systems are only valuable when they serve the farmer directly. Throughout the halls, this philosophy will be evident in every display and demonstration.
New Features and Daily Focus Themes
Agritechnica 2025 introduces several new features aimed at making the visitor experience more focused and engaging.
For the first time, each day of the fair will revolve around a dedicated theme, allowing professionals to tailor their schedules:
- 9 November – Innovation and Press Day: exclusive early access for journalists and industry insiders.
- 10 – 11 November – Agribusiness Days: machinery dealers, contractors and large-scale enterprises take centre stage.
- 12 November – International Farmers Day: a celebration of cross-border knowledge exchange, spotlighting Canada, the Czech Republic and France as partner nations.
- 13 November – Digital Farm Day: a deep dive into the digitalisation of agriculture, perfectly aligned with the fair’s central theme.
- 14 November – Young Professionals Day: nurturing the next generation of farmers and ag-tech leaders, followed by the lively Young Farmers Party.
- 15 November – Celebrate Farming: closing the week with reflection and celebration of agricultural progress.
This structured programme ensures every audience—from large-scale operators to young innovators—finds content tailored to their interests.

The Digital Farm Centre: Technology in Motion
A highlight of 2025 will be the debut of the Digital Farm Centre, a new interactive zone dedicated to smart farming technologies. Situated at the heart of the exhibition and presented in partnership with DLG FarmRobotix, it offers immersive demonstrations of automation, artificial intelligence and robotics.
Visitors will witness real-time data exchange between next-generation tractors and implements, drone-assisted crop monitoring, and fully autonomous field robots operating live. The centre functions as a “hub of excellence”, connecting farmers, engineers, technology providers and researchers eager to explore how digital tools are transforming agriculture.
Building Business Connections
Recognising the importance of professional networking, Agritechnica 2025 will feature an upgraded International Dealer Centre in Hall 2—an exclusive space where machinery dealers can meet suppliers and manufacturers from across the globe.
A new Business Matchmaking Service will further streamline connections by pairing exhibitors with potential distributors, investors or customers based on shared goals. Together, these initiatives reinforce Agritechnica’s role as not only an exhibition but also a thriving marketplace for partnerships and investment.
Showcasing Innovation and Global Excellence
Innovation lies at the heart of Agritechnica. This edition promises hundreds of new product launches, many of which are world premieres. Major manufacturers traditionally use the event to unveil flagship tractors, harvesters and precision-farming platforms that set the tone for the seasons ahead.
Reflecting the “smart efficiency” ethos, electrification and automation dominate this year’s innovations. Expect to see electric and hybrid tractors, autonomous machinery, and AI-powered sensing systems designed to boost performance while reducing emissions. Industry speculation suggests one well-known green-and-yellow brand will reveal a battery-electric tractor prototype, while a leading European firm introduces a compact electric model with range-extender technology.
Yet Agritechnica is not only for the big players. The Start-up Area will showcase entrepreneurial talent across ag-tech, biotechnology and digital farm management. The DLG Prototype Club and Science Campus will provide space for universities and inventors to display forward-thinking research and prototypes.
The prestigious Agritechnica Innovation Awards will again honour outstanding technological achievements. Among hundreds of entries, a select few will receive gold and silver medals, offering visitors a curated glimpse of the most advanced concepts shaping global agriculture.
Together, these elements make Agritechnica 2025 a living laboratory for the future of farming—where the next generation of agricultural technology moves from concept to reality.
