This next-generation baler captivated farmers and contractors with its focus on maximizing efficiency, operator comfort, and bale quality, setting a new standard for large square balers.

The KRONE BiG Pack Generation 5 large square baler series marks the latest chapter in KRONE's 30-year legacy of innovation, bringing advanced technology and enhanced operator comfort to the large square baler market. After decades of expertise and intensive development, the KRONE engineering team has reimagined their BiG Pack balers to meet the evolving needs of modern agriculture. The new Generation 5 models incorporate well-known technologies, like the Variable Filling System (VFS), MultiBale, and the camless EasyFlow pick-up with a mechanical drive rotor, all updated to maximize efficiency and ease of use.

Now, with the BiG Pack Generation 5, KRONE continues to meet the demands of global agricultural environments, whether hot, cold, humid, dry, or dusty. The BiG Pack Generation 5 balers feature a longer baling chamber adapted from the 1290 HDP model, enabling them to produce firmer, heavier, and more dense bales. To meet the requirements of various crops, these balers also include an integral additive dispenser for applying treatments that aid in crop fermentation or conservation. This versatility extends to the VariCut cutting system, which allows users to select from two-blade cassettes with up to 26 or 51 blades for precise cutting.

KRONE has also introduced significant upgrades in machine cleaning and maintenance. The PowerClean hydraulic knotter fan system continuously clears debris from the knotter and surrounding areas, ensuring the machine stays clean even during extended baling sessions. For added comfort and stability, the BiG Pack Generation 5 comes with BPW tandem axles and a range of tire options that ensure a stable, smooth ride behind the tractor. Additionally, KRONE’s new Active Pick-up system is now available with a hydraulic option, further enhancing crop collection efficiency.

Safety and visibility are priorities in this new generation of BiG Pack balers. KRONE offers full LED lighting as well as optional LED work light packages, providing operators with clear visibility during night operations.  The series also includes new twine boxes, capable of accommodating 30 rolls of 15kg twine, developed with practicality in mind to make twine management and machine access easier. 

The Generation 5 has a durable (610kg) flywheel driveline without shear pins, offering a more reliable and user friendly drive system. With multiple hitch options, the balers are adaptable to the varied needs of farmers and contractors worldwide. KRONE has also enhanced the VFS (Variable Filling System), an already tried and-tested feature, to offer even better performance and fill control.
