This tool allows users to visually navigate their equipment using 3D models, accurately pinpoint the part they need, retrieve its part number and description, making mis-orders a thing of the past.

Introducing the Rovic 3D Parts Manual Platform

At the core of this innovation is the Rovic Interactive 3D Parts Manual, a digital platform developed for all Rovic-manufactured equipment. The system allows users to access full 3D renderings of machinery, zoom in, rotate, and isolate individual components, down to the smallest bolt or hydraulic fitting.

This interactive system complements Rovic’s existing PDF parts manuals, offering two convenient formats based on user preference. Most of the company’s product manuals are available in PDF form, and for those who prefer visual, tactile navigation, the 3D platform is a game-changer.

Importantly, access to the 3D manuals is free, but registration is required. Users fill out a short request form on the Rovic website (www.rovic.com), providing basic contact details. Once verified, login credentials are emailed and users can start exploring their machines virtually, right from their phone, tablet or desktop.

How It Works in Practice

Once logged in, users can navigate to their specific model and select the configuration that matches their machine. From there on, they can explore a 3D model of the planter, zooming in and rotating it from every angle. Whether viewing from above, below, or sideways, users can highlight individual parts simply by clicking.

Clicking on a part automatically brings up its description and part number on the right-hand side of the screen. You can explore subcomponents, which allows you to zoom in further into assemblies and view detailed specs of each individual component—perfect for understanding complex parts like hydraulic assemblies or seed mechanisms.

Mobile-First for Field Use

While the system works on computers and tablets, it’s especially well optimised for mobile devices. Farmers out in the field can access the 3D manual on their phones, use finger gestures to zoom and rotate, and quickly order or screenshot the part needed.  The online aspect of parts ordering has put Rovic ahead of the competition. The order details or screenshot can then be sent via WhatsApp or email to the nearest dealer or supplier with all the necessary information—part number, size, spec, and even an image.

No more removing broken parts, measuring fittings, and driving back and forth with guesses. As one Rovic representative put it: “You can now stand next to your broken planter, find the part in seconds, order or screenshot it, and send it off—by the time you reach town, the part’s already waiting for you.”

Hydraulic Hoses? No Problem.

Hydraulic hoses have always posed a special challenge. Removing them, measuring them, and hoping your supplier has the right fittings in stock is a gamble. Rovic now includes unique ID strips with serial numbers on hydraulic hoses. Users can look up those numbers in the 3D manual system to get the exact specifications—fitting types, lengths, pressure ratings—and order replacements without removing the hose.

This information can also be passed directly to a local hydraulics shop, enabling them to fabricate the hose quickly and accurately. It’s a small touch that solves a long-standing headache.

More Than Just Planters

While the focus has been on the 3D manuals for Rovic’s planter range, the platform extends far beyond that. Sprayers, spreaders, tillage tools, and more—all Rovic-manufactured products are being integrated into the system. Even imported products have downloadable PDF manuals readily available on the site.
